UK Premiere of BHUTTO
The UK Premiere of BHUTTO was held at the British Academy of Film & Television Arts on 12th June 2010 in anticipation of its forthcoming release across the UK. The event was attended by the Bhutto family, the Pakistani High Commissioner and prominent figures in the entertainment industry. The Q&A with Director Duane Baughman and Producer Mark Siegel was moderated by award-winning journalist Afshin Rattansi.







Book Reading with Fatima Bhutto
Mara hosted a book reading with Fatima Bhutto for the launch of her recently published "Songs of Blood and the Sword- A Daughter's Memoir" at the British Academy of Film & Television Arts in London. Fatima is an Afghan born, Pakistani poet and writer. She is the daughter of politician Mir Murtaza Bhutto, granddaughter of former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
The reading was followed by a Q&A moderated by international news broadcaster Mishal Husain. Mishal’s interview subjects include prominent international figures and she can be seen bringing a combination of news, debate and analysis on the show BBC Impact Asia.
The Q&A was followed by a book signing with Fatima.
